A guide to navigating the relatively new Ontario Autism Program (OAP) program for parents and caregivers.

The current program looks a lot different than it used to. This virtual 1.5 hour session helps parents who recently registered for the OAP and those looking to get a better handle on it gain a better understanding of how to navigate this updated system

Attendees will gain an understanding of the New Ontario Autism Program including:

  • Find out what has changed in the new program;

  • Know your options in terms of services and funding;

  • Understand the 5 pillars of the OAP program;

  • Learn where to go to get the answers to your questions.

Participants will learn:

  • How funding works;

  • How to contact your OAP care coordinator;

  • The roles filled by the various service providers and how they fit into the 5 pillars of the OAP;

  • Your role as a caregiver supporting your child in the OAP.
